We are pleased to inform you that a firmware update (to version 2) for the 70-210mm F/4 Di VC USD (model A034) for Canon is now available.

Notice about compatibility for Nikon Z7 with Tamron lenses

Dear users and potential purchasers of Tamron interchangeable lenses.

 

Thank you for using Tamron products and for your continuous support.

We would like to announce that we have discovered issues that some of Tamron Di/Di II series for Nikon mount models may not be operational properly on Nikon Z7, which was newly released on September 28, 2018, with Nikon Mount Adapter FTZ.

We are in process to search for the causes and will make further announcement of the compatibility for every single model once we find the solution.

This is an update regarding our announcement in March of compatibility issues between the 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III VC (Model B011) for Canon and the Canon EOS M50 (EOS Kiss M) body that was recently released into the market.

We are pleased to inform you of the firmware update service for Model B011 for Canon.

The improvements expected as a result

  1. When used in combination with the Canon EOS M50 (EOS Kiss M), the following behavior has been rectified.

    1. An error notice will appear when shooting with aperture stop down (close the f stop).
    2. When you remove the lens while the power is on and attach the lens again, it will freeze.

Notice about 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A036) Operation

Dear Tamron product users and potential purchasers.

 

Thank you for your interest in Tamron products.

We would like to announce that we discovered some issues with the auto focus of our new lens, 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A036) for Sony E-mount, 35mm full-frame mirrorless cameras, released on May 24, 2018. The issues occur primarily when using the camera in video recording mode.

Rest assured, we are evaluating the cause of the error and for the solution to this matter. We expect this issue to be resolved very shortly and we will release a firmware update at that time.

Regarding the firmware updating process, please be assured that the process is accomplished directly through the Sony camera and supported by the Sony firmware updating function. As soon as the process is finalized, we will explain the process in detail on our website.

Notice about compatibility for Canon EOS Kiss M with Tamron lens (EOS M50 out side Japan)

Dear users and potential purchasers of Tamron interchangeable lenses.

Thank you for using Tamron products and for your continuous support.
Please kindly note the following when using a Tamron lens on a recently announced Canon EOS Kiss M (EOS M50). (Introduced to market on March 23th, 2018 in Japan.)

1. An error notice will appear when shooting with aperture stop down (close the f stop).
* You may operate while aperture is full open only.

2. When you remove the lens while the power is on and attach the lens again, it will freeze.
* The camera will re-start if you press the power on/off or press the menu button making the
menu screen display again and press the menu button once more to restore.

Notice about compatibility for Canon EOS 6D Mark II

Dear users and potential purchasers of Tamron interchangeable lenses.

Thank you for using Tamron products and for your continuous support.

Please kindly note the following when using a Tamron lens on the Canon EOS 6D Mark II.

1. We would like to ask you to turn OFF the “Lens aberration correction” functions included in the camera’s menu prior to use. However, you can turn off the function only in Program modes (Creative Zone), i.e. Program AE, Shutter priority, Aperture priority, Manual exposure mode.

2. It has been found that an error will occur with activated “Lens aberration correction” functions with the Tamron lenses listed below in “Live View” Mode. Deactivating the “Lens aberration correction” functions will remedy this error.

* Please remove and re-insert the camera battery when the error occurs.

Termination notice of our offer of the complimentary “SILKYPIX Developer Studio 4.0 for Tamron”

Dear users and potential purchasers of Tamron interchangeable lenses.

Thank you for using Tamron products. Since November 2012, we have included in the package of some Tamron products “SILKYPIX Developer Studio 4.0 for Tamron,” a complimentary RAW processing software program exclusively for Tamron’s SP lens models. We would like to inform our customers that this complimentary offer will be terminated as of June 30, 2016.

If you have already installed “SILKYPIX Developer Studio 4.0 for Tamron,” you can continue using the software program. We would like to inform our customers that any new installations of the program (including replacements of any personal computers for which installation and authentication is necessary) will only be possible until June 30, 2019.

* There are no plans for any additional data related to any cameras or lenses or for any version upgrades.

Starting on July 1, 2016, purchasing certain Tamron products will enable customers to buy “Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan” at a special price.

To our customers using the relevant Tamron products and/or SILKYPIX, we would cordially like to ask for your understanding.

A notice regarding compatibility issues with the EOS 5Ds and the EOS 5DsR, and availability of firmware update service

Dear users and potential purchasers of Tamron interchangeable lenses for Canon cameras.

Thank you for being a valued customer of Tamron products.

We have learned that the AF of the following interchangeable lenses for Canon do not function in Live View mode when used on the EOS 5Ds and EOS 5DsR which went on sale on June 18 in Japan.

We sincerely apologize to all users and potential purchasers for any inconvenience the issue may cause.

Firmware update service is already available as this is the same case when EOS 760D and the EOS 750D were released. Also, the Model A011 with the latest firmware for panning shot treatment is compatible and functions properly with these new cameras.
