TAMRON Lens Utility – Compatibility Overview
The TAMRON Lens Utility empowers photographers and videographers to customize their lenses like never before. With features such as Focus Preset for instant recall of predefined focus positions, AF/MF switching via the Focus Set Button, and the ability to assign camera functions directly to the lens, you can adapt your setup precisely to your shooting style.
Additional options like linear or non-linear focus control, adjustable MF ring rotation, and advanced ring function customization (depending on mount) offer enhanced creative control and intuitive handling. Selected lenses also support firmware updates via PC or Mac, ensuring your equipment stays up to date.

The availability of individual functions depends on the lens mount and lens model.
Which TAMRON Lens Utility functions are supported by each mount?
Canon RF mount limitation: Due to technical and system-related restrictions of the Canon RF mount, TAMRON Lens Utility currently supports firmware updates via the Desktop version (Windows/macOS) only. Advanced functions such as focus presets, DFF, ring customization or button assignments are not available at this time.
FUJIFILM X mount limitation: Fujifilm X mount lenses currently do not feature a USB port and are not compatible with TAMRON Lens Utility (Desktop or Mobile). Firmware updates for Fujifilm X mount lenses are performed via the camera body using FUJIFILM’s update process.
Nikon Z mount (mobile support): Nikon Z mount lenses support TAMRON Lens Utility Mobile (iOS/Android) as well as the Desktop version, depending on the specific lens model and firmware version.
