Le modèle « G2 » s’appuie sur le succès de l’hyper télézoom SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD (Modèle A011), lancé en décembre 2013 qui continue à combler les professionnels et amateurs de téléphoto. Le modèle « G2 » a été développé pour restituer une qualité optique supérieure adaptée au niveau des derniers capteurs reflex numériques très haute définition : il propose de nombreuses améliorations dont un AF plus rapide et plus précis de même qu’un système de stabilisation VC encore plus performant. D’autres fonctions ont été ajoutées, tel que le “FLEX ZOOM LOCK”, le traitement de la lentille frontale à la fluorine et la possibilité d’utiliser plusieurs téléconvertisseurs. Cette nouvelle optique propose des performances uniques et un aspect extérieur SP haut de gamme avec un fut métallique et un design rehaussé.

Enhanced optics meet greater versatility

The SP 150-600mm G2 includes three LD (Low Dispersion) lens elements which completely eliminate axial and transverse chromatic aberrations. It also features upgraded optical construction (21 elements in 13 groups).

Anti-reflection technologies, eBAND (Extended Bandwidth and Angular-Dependency) Coating and BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) Coating improve light transmission and suppress internal reflections, including light reflected off the camera’s image sensors. So even when taking a backlit or semi-backlit photograph, ghosting and flare caused by reflected light are fully eliminated.

Additional enhancements expand the lens’s versatility. For example, MOD (Minimum Object Distance) has been reduced to 2.2m so you can enjoy tele-macro photography and dramatic bokeh.

The Model A022 is equipped with a USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) ring-type motor that delivers excellent responsiveness and control. AF speed is significantly improved from current model, and it enables accurate high-speed focus even when capturing moving subjects.

The VC (Vibration Compensation) effectiveness is equivalent to 4.5 stops, based on image stabilization performance levels established by CIPA (Camera and Imaging Products Association) when using in VC MODE 3. SP 150-600mm G2 has three types of VC modes.

VC MODE 1
The standard mode that strikes a great balance between the stability of the viewfinder image and the stabilization effects.

VC MODE 2
Exclusively used for panning.

VC MODE 3
Prioritizes the stabilization of the captured images and forgoes the stabilization of the viewfinder image.

The front surface of the lens element is coated with a protective fluorine compound that is water- and oil-repellant. FLEX ZOOM LOCK mechanism quickly locks or unlocks the zoom at any position simply by sliding the zoom ring. Photographers can shoot from any angle without the zoom extending unintentionally. Additionally, the conventional Zoom Lock switch prevents unwanted barrel extension during transportation.

Die Abbildungsqualität kann sich in allen Bereichen sehen lassen. Bei 150 und 300 mm ist die Auflösung bereits bei offener Blende sehr gut und relativ konstant im Bildfeld, Abblenden um zwei Stufen verbessert nur noch den rechten/linken Rand und die Ecken.

Die Fluorvergütung und die wasserabweisende Konstruktion machen das Objektiv weitgehend unempfindlich gegen Schmutz, Staub und Feuchtigkeit. Die optionale TAP-in-Konsole erlaubt den Besitzern einfache Firmware-Updates sowie Feinabstimmungen von Autofokus und Bildstabilisation.

This long-range zoom is built for full-frame DSLRs but can also be used on APS-C DSLRs to deliver an incredible 225-900mm focal length range (approximate, depending on camera). Tamron’s improved VC (vibration compensation) offers a 4.5 stop advantage with three modes for a variety of shooting scenarios. The lens incorporates three low dispersion elements to aid in the elimination of chromatic aberrations and is constructed with 21 elements in 13 groups, with a minimum focusing distance of 86.6 inches (220 cm). Other features include eBAND and BBAR coating to help reduce ghosting and flare, a fast ultrasonic silent drive ring-type motor, and leakproof seals on the metal barrel.
