The groundbreaking 50-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD (model A069) telephoto zoom lens was developed in response to user feedback that "the angle of view of the initial focal length is not optimal" when using a 70-300-mm zoom. The new A069 model therefore now offers a standard focal length of 50mm, providing much more flexibility in photography. This compact 6x zoom lens is extremely compact with a length of only 150 mm and with a weight of only 665 g one of the lightest in its class. In addition, the precise arrangement of special lens elements (including two XLD and two LD lens elements) ensures effective aberration reduction and high image quality throughout the zoom range. This ultra-multi-focal zoom lens brings the joy of photography to every photographer in a compact package and expands the potential for creative expression.
Features and Functions
High-speed AF with high precision and VC mechanism for stability
The autofocus is equipped with TAMRON's VXD linear motor. Thanks to this fast and high-precision autofocus system, the user can precisely adjust the focus from the closest focusing distance to infinity. In addition, the focus tracking is extremely precise. The 50-300mm F/4.5-6.3 VC is equipped with TAMRON's VC mechanism, which effectively reduces camera shake. That can appear when shooting at the telephoto range, when focusing at close range or in low light conditions.
Half-macro photography at 50mm
Outstanding performance at close range with a close MOD6 of 0.22 m and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2 on the 50 mm wide-angle lens. Get exceptionally close to your subject and create fascinating semi-macro shots. At 300 mm, the MOD distance is only 0.9 m and offers a magnification factor of 1:3.1. Compatible with TAMRON Lens Utility™ software
The 50-300mm F/4.5-6.3 VC is compatible with the TAMRON Lens Utility software developed by TAMRON. It allows users to change lens settings, assign functions from the camera and update the firmware if required. In addition, the functions in the mobile version can also be operated via a smartphone app (Android OS) without touching the lens. Users can customise the functions for different photo and video shooting styles, providing a more personalised and fulfilling shooting experience.
