On March 21, 2024, we announced on our website of a phenomenon found with our 20-40mm F/2.8 Di III VXD (Model A062) for Sony E mount and 50-400mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD (Model A067) for Sony E mount lenses.

We are pleased to announce that the symptom seen on these lenses can now be corrected by updating the firmware.

Improved Phenomenon

When the camera's AF assist function is set to “Off” and the focus ring is turned the focus position started shift.
