Notice Regarding the use of TAMRON 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VXD (Model A056) with Sony Alpha 7V

Thank you for your continued support of Tamron products.

We previously announced on our website on January 6, 2026, an issue where the 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VXD (Model A056) for Sony E-mount does not function correctly when used with the Sony α7V.
While we have been addressing this issue by updating the firmware in a TAMRON service, we are pleased to inform you that you can now perform the firmware update yourself.

Important Notice

Due to the nature of this specific phenomenon where the lens is not recognized by the Sony α7V, a camera body other than the α7V will be required for the update process.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but please use a different Sony camera body to perform the firmware update.
