While TAMRON is widely known for its consumer camera lenses, we have had a strong footprint in Machine Vision since its emergence in the 1980s. Some lens designs of these days were so outstanding they are still in production today. At the same time and in line with TAMRON’s “New Eyes for Industry” approach, we were the first lens manufacturer which anticipated and reacted to the latest shift from CCD image sensors to new large-format and high-resolution CMOS global shutter sensors in C-mount cameras. Today’s comprehensive portfolio of fixed focal lenses as well as our tailored customization services provide vision system designers with the right optical solution for almost very C- and CS-mount camera setup.
To foster the deep involvement in the European machine vision market, TAMRON has now joined the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA). We are looking forward to contributing our industry expertise to this exquisite network of machine vision players.
