Tamron products are manufactured with the greatest care and precision in our highly modern factories in order to guarantee trouble-free photography. Should your lens nevertheless develop a fault, the Tamron Service Department is available to assist you.

If you have any sample images which show the problem you are experiencing, then please enclose these with your equipment, ideally on a memory card.

In the event of claims under warranty, please enclose the following documents:

  • Copy of your purchase receipt
  • If registered for the 5 Year Warranty, the 5 Year Warranty Certificate

 

 

 

Send us your lens in secure transport packaging with a suitable level of transport insurance together with a filled in Tamron Service Form and the above named documentation to the authorised service address in Great Britain:

-       Purchase receipt

Once the lens has been received and entered into our system, we will check the specified fault: if the product is covered under warranty, we will repair or align your lens.  Otherwise, it will be dealt with as a chargeable repair.

We will provide you with an estimate for the cost of repair, detailing the work required and choice of payment methods. Should you wish not to proceed with the repair and would like the equipment returned, the only cost incurred by you would be return postage plus VAT (£10.20 in UK) - there is no charge for refused estimates.

If you deem the repair to be uneconomical, you do have the option to request free disposal of the lens and we may be able to offer you a Service Replacement product.

We encourage payment to be made by debit or credit card to improve turnaround time and customer satisfaction. Our telephone number is given on the estimate in order that you can ring us and proceed with the repair by giving us your card details. If however, you choose to pay by cheque, this requires 8-10 days for payment to clear.

Please note that we return UK repairs by Royal Mail Special Delivery and a signature will be required. For shipping outside the UK, additional costs would be applicable.

When an acknowledgement or estimate is sent to you, there will be a job number beginning: WS... in the top right hand corner. We would ask that you quote this number when making any enquiries regarding the progress of your equipment.
