[Translate to UK:] EISA Award - Zoom Lens of the Year 2010-2011

The new Tamron telezoom lens SP 70-300mm F/4-5.6 VC USD will be launched with great honors. The well-known and highly respected European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) honors the Tamron SP 70-300 VC USD with the “Zoom Lens of the Year 2010-2011” award. This lens features a highly effective VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilization system and a brand new USD - Ultrasonic Silent Drive, both developed by Tamron.

Unequalled optical performance is achieved with the use of special glass elements like the newly developed superior XLD (Extra Low Dispersion) glass. The SP 70-300mm F4-5.6 Di VC USD (Model A005) provides the performance of a high-end premium telephoto zoom and appeals to a broad spectrum of photography enthusiasts.

EISA Awards are presented each year to the best products in photographic, audiovisual, video and mobile product categories as voted by the EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association). The panel consists of editors-in-chief and technical editors of about 50 leading and influential magazines in 19 European countries that specialize in photography, audio, video and mobile electronic products. The EISA award is recognized as one of the most prestigious awards a product can receive in its specific category. This distinction marks the 12th time Tamron has received this highly prestigious and internationally recognized award. It is the fifth consecutive EISA award for Tamron and underlines Tamron’s approach in developing high-quality and customer focused products.

Award Citation of the EISA Jury

“The Tamron SP70-300mm F4-5.6 Di VC USD is a very compact, comfortable and easy-to-use zoom lens. Its greatest asset is the razor-sharp image quality that makes full-frame photos look like medium-format images. The near-silent autofocus system makes the lens ideal for wildlife as well as street photography, while the superb image stabilisation makes it possible to take sharp and detailed pictures more easily in low-light conditions.”
